Luke Burgis explores human ecology and how our technology, relationships, politics, economics, education & systems affect what we want, our desires. Our future is shaped by what we learn to want and why. Luke wrote 'Wanting', a book based on the work of René Girard, a French polymath who coined the term mimetic theory, which describes the process of imitation or mimicry through which people portray and interpret the world. It's a way of thinking about our models - people or things that show us what is worth wanting, our perceived desires. Luke is incredibly insightful and this conversation, when intentionally absorbed, will impact every aspect of your life.   LINKS   Luke Burgis website   The Mojo Sessions website   The Mojo Sessions on Patreon Full transcripts of the show (plus time codes) are available on Patreon.   The Mojo Sessions on Facebook   Gary on Linked in   Gary on Twitter   The Mojo Sessions on Instagram   If you like what you hear, we'd be grateful for a review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Happy listening!   © 2022 Gary Bertwistle.  All Rights Reserved.
