Oliver Burkeman: 4,000 Weeks, relinquishing control and confronting our radical finitude.
Today I have the great pleasure of sharing a recent conversation that I had with the brilliant Oliver Burkeman - author of the book ‘4,000 Weeks.” Few books have impacted as much as Oliver’s and it is one that I return to time and time again. In short, The average human lifespan is absurdly, insultingly brief. As Oliver states “If you live to be 80, you’ll have had about 4,000 weeks. But that’s no reason for despair. We must confront our radical finitude, accepting how little control we have. This is the key to a fulfilling and meaningfully productive life. He has been a guest on some of the world’s biggest podcasts including with Peter Attia, On Being with Krista Tippett, The Tim Ferriss Show, The Imperfects Podcasts, Feel Better Live More with Dr. Rangan Chatterjee, Steven Bartlett’s The Diary of a Ceo and Chris Williamson’s Modern Wisdom and The Ali Abdaal Podcast . I hope that you get as much out of this conversation as I did. You can connect with me here: 🖐️ About 💻 Podcast Website Connect: Facebook Twitter Linkedin
