This week, Greg and I are back at it—bundled up in hoodies, talking through our new six-day training split. We’ve officially settled into a rhythm that feels rock-solid: structured, heavy, and sustainable. No program hopping, no gimmicks—just the basics done right and tracked with precision. I’m actually logging everything in the new app for once, and I love seeing the total volume and progression data stack up over time. The plan is to run this through the next six months and analyze how much strength and muscle we build before the next cut. We also dive into the mental side of building season—embracing that “fed” phase without letting it get sloppy. Coming out of a show, it’s always tough seeing the scale creep up and the definition fade, but this is where real growth happens. The goal is to stay strategic, keep body fat within a reasonable range, and focus on true performance metrics in the gym. Tomorrow’s my 34th birthday, and we’re celebrating with a Keto Brick “pizza party” team day—bonfire, hoodies, keto pizzas, and good people. I’m also doing something spontaneous and fun: from now until the end of October, every Keto Brick order gets a random cash bill tucked inside. Could be a $1 bill or a $100 bill—just a little birthday giveaway to give back to the community. We touch on TV habits, disconnecting from the world, and how true rest comes from meaningful activity—whether that’s training, hunting, or just unplugging. We talk about getting older, too, but in a good way—stronger, smarter, and more intentional each year. Huge shout-out to Joe Davis, who just set state and national powerlifting records at age 54, proving that age really is just a number when you live this lifestyle right. We’re also planning a Tough Mudder retreat in Austin for the end of February—an intimate, hands-on “meat-up” with training, grilling, and good conversation. Between that, some deep cleaning at the brick facility, new software rollouts, and a secret brand launch on the horizon, there’s a lot in motion here at Keto Savage HQ. To wrap it up, we brainstormed creating a mini-course on how to track macros properly—covering the basics of scales, portions, and common mistakes. It’s something simple that could make a huge difference for folks starting out. Another great episode in the books—steady progress, good food, and plenty of fire ahead.
