KMO and RU Sirius reminisce about the role that magazines used to play in the culture and in our lives. The trends that make up the focus of this podcast have been on-going for decades, and much of what informed Mondo2000 magazine in the 80s and 90s goes back to the 1960s cultural revolution. RU Sirius has been on the scene from then until now, documenting, commenting, fomenting revolution and picking up the pieces when things didn't go the way he and his follow reality hackers envisioned.

Great interview!

Hey, K-Mo! So this is my very first comment, and it's actually comment number one on this whole platform. I want to say thank you for a very interesting interview. I've never heard of Mondo2000 magazine, but I have a suggestion. You should look into the story of how Wired magazine was created, and I believe there was an interesting character. I don't think it was Kevin Kelly, it was somebody else who was for a very long period of time running around New York and other cities with quite bizarre business plans, which eventually kind of panned out. I think the person who might be interesting, who knows this story, is the guy who does another podcast. I can't remember the name right now. Brian McCullough, that's the name of the guy who does another podcast, who did something like an audio history of the internet and related media. So maybe you should interview him. Anyway, just want to say hi, and yeah, keep up the good work. Cheers.
