Everyone gave me labels and it made me feel like who I was was bad.” “I had this career that I had worked so hard for, but I couldn’t make it work-I had new priorities.” The Bigger Picture [14:00] “Each skill and each career led to the thing I was supposed to be doing.” “When I look back at all of the things that I’ve been through that I couldn’t piece together, it’s all played a role and it had a purpose in the path to where I am now.” “Things that you think are falling apart are actually falling into place.” Imposter Syndrome [16:30] “I felt like I was having to swim upstream in someone else’s creek.” “If I’m not organized, or a planner, or type A, how can I make this simpler for myself?” “I identify as type A and an overachiever, but I don’t achieve in the way others achieve.” “In my program, we teach how to find your passions and skills to make a signature offer with a profitable return of your time and investment.” “My brain is like my computer, it has so many tabs open with great ideas.” “Follow your curiosity- but watch for the follow through.” The Reward System [23:00] “I stopped avoiding those feelings, and started training my brain to look for the chemical reward at the end.” “When I’m in the thick of things that look hard, I start focusing on the long-term reward and making that reward big enough to be able to focus inside of my discomfort.” “Measure your progress and see how much you’re moving in that direction.” See the Results [29:40] “Inside my business, I looked for the offer that made the most bang for my buck. I looked for the offer that was the most scalable that I don’t hate.” “Create an offer that is valuable to your audience.” “Look at where your current audience is having problems, and find a solution to that that you love.” ADHD is a Superpower [38:45] “It’s possible to be extremely successful, do what you love, and create balance in a way that works for you while having ADHD.” “ADHD is a call to find your own way.” Connect with Jamie IG: @jamiejoslinking @theslayschool Free resource: Passive Product Idea Generator: https://bjm137.isrefer.com/go/c/jamiek/ Connect with us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thecoachablepodcast/ Connect with Tori on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coachtorigordon/ Guess what?!
