Today’s guest on the show is positive psychology expert and transformational coach, Tallia Deljou. Rooted in her background in psychology, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and deep transformational coaching, she supports clients in connecting to and embodying their authentic selves. Tallia is an expert at showing others how we shape our identities, define who we are, and how we can optimize our experiences in order to lead a high-quality life. On this episode, she’s going to break down how we find purpose and ensure our actions are aligned with our mentality.    Tallia first shares with us her story and what’s at the core of what she does. She explains what ‘a hole in the heart’ means. ‘A hole in the heart’ is a concept in the world of positive psychology that is based on the idea that a problem you have faced in your life leads you to want to solve that problem--to ‘fill’ that hole. For her, she grew up in a space where external things defined internal worth. So, she’s in the business of helping others get a solid foundation that comes from within.    Tallia talks a bit about how we can release circumstances in our lives that no longer serve us.  You have to be willing to be unpopular. When you live and stand in your truth, you are going to have some people who don’t approve. This is a people-pleasing conversation. A big part of being visible is understanding that you have to be ready to not satisfy every person out there. Like Michael Jordan said, why worry about missing the shot before you’ve even taken it? There’s no need to worry if what you’re putting out in the world is going to accepted if you haven’t put it out there yet!   The truth is, Tallia says, is that it’s not about you. And when you aren’t visible, you aren’t doing anyone any service. If you’re hiding, you’re hurting. There are people out there who are waiting to hear what you have to say. When you’re in the mindset that it’s about you, you struggle with them. And when you do that, you disallow your audience to grow themselves.    Finally, Elyse and Tallia discuss action versus aligned action. In the end, the question is this: is it a ‘should’ or a ‘must.’ If the action is a ‘should’ it can feel heavy and shallow. Whereas a ‘must’ is much more gentle. Think about how to action is related to your being? Is it serving you?    LINKS   Find your purpose, release fear of judgment, and take aligned action that actually forwards your goals (exclusive to listeners!)   https://talliadeljou.com/specialaccess   https://talliadeljou.com/
