Legal & Criminal Justice Reform with Louis L. Reed
You are in charge of what your future looks like, regardless of your past or present. Senior Director of Memberships and Partnerships for REFORM Alliance, Louis L. Reed is the absolute living example of that. After spending 14 years in federal prison, Louis is now working towards criminal justice and legal reform. He recognized that he wanted to create a legacy of purpose for himself and is on the path to doing exactly that. I don’t have vast knowledge or education on the prison system, but I wanted to learn what criminal justice reform means and looks like, and why it’s needed. I was curious to find out what is going on in our prisons, what needs to be changed, what can we do to create change and ultimately a better world for everyone. Louis shares his story and experiences and has a raw, open, and candid conversation with me about the criminal justice system, mental health crisis, and our police system. I truly believe that it’s in having these types of conversations we can create change and experience empathy. I’m eternally grateful to Louis for having this one with me and look forward to many more honest conversations. Michelle Talks About Louis L.
