Send us a text Even though the calendar reads "June,", it was a rainy and cold day here in the Pacific Northwest--one of those days you just want to hunker down with a good book, a cozy blanket and a hot cup of tea.  I had a lot on the schedule today, and it turned out, life/the universe had other plans for me today. I was feeling a little bit sorry for myself that "everything" got cancelled.  And then I saw a post by author and social scientist, Arthur C. Brooks (the happiness guy) about starting the story over.  And I was reminded that we can be with what is, and accept it, without giving in or giving up. Just be with it. And recognize it"s just part of the story today. And then story keeps moving forward. New pages. New characters. New trials and tribulations. New joys. In other words, all of it is what it is. And that"s the beauty of it. And it"s the focus of today"s mindfulness practice. We practice to practice.
