What a treat to speak with the legendary Gordon Bakoulis! Gordon qualified for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials five consecutive times between 1988 and 2004. Gordon was also a finalist in the 1992 U.S. Olympic 10,000m Trials and achieved a 2:33 marathon PR. Gordon shares her running journey, including competing at the second ever Women’s Olympic Marathon Trials, and how she remains a competitive and injury-free runner after running at a high level for over four decades In addition to running, Gordon has been a coach for forty years and currently coaches for the New York Road Runners, where she also serves as the editorial director .
