Lorrie’s artistry began in 1999 after a spiritual experience during a challenging time in her life. With no formal training she began painting using her fingers, with pastels as her medium. The Artwork and The Angel Gallery Thirty-six Spirit Inspired pieces were created and exhibited as a permanent collection from 2001- 2015. The Spirit Art with its Angelic essence created a unique and beautiful atmosphere which lent itself to the seeker as a doorway between worlds. They became known as Lorrie’s Angels.  The gallery known as the Sanctuary of Angels became a beautiful resource for people from around the globe. All traditions and none , people who were grieving, others challenged with illness along with other searchers would come in search of the peace, hope, comfort and upliftment the gallery space offered.   In 2013, Lorrie was further inspired to create a new body of work in sculpture called:  The Seven Heads of God. The VII Sounds. Departing from pastels, I was to create my first body of work in clay in 2013. There are seven sculptures in total created and they strike a prayerful pose as though in deep prayer. Standing together as one Sounding the Sound of the Divine Creating a deeply mystical yet sacred and holy atmosphere calling the viewer to enter into and commune with their essence. Enabling them to return to the very essence of their own creation.
