I reflect on my own journey of writing my solo book, "When She Stopped Asking Why," which I began in 2016 and published in 2017. I share the challenges I faced, including the lack of support and the vulnerability of sharing my story while still living it. This experience led me to create the "Write Your Damn Book" mastermind, aimed at providing the support I wished I had during my writing process. Throughout the episode, I explore the common barriers that prevent aspiring authors from writing their books. Many people feel their stories aren't significant enough, are overwhelmed by the enormity of the task, or struggle with self-doubt and perfectionism. I emphasize that these feelings are universal among writers, regardless of background or experience. To help you overcome these obstacles, I discuss the importance of shifting your mindset and beliefs. Visualization techniques can be powerful tools in this process.
