Sue Morgan (she/her) is a life partner, mom, nana, daughter, sister, and friend. She is an MS (Multiple Sclerosis) awareness advocate, chief crew extraordinaire, painter, reader, music lover, adventurer and runner. Sue grew up in northern Michigan and both of her parents were music teachers. She never participated in organized sports growing up but was happy to cheer on friends. Sue has a BA in Sociology and an MA in Human Resources Development. After college, she moved to Boulder, where she met and married her husband, Bill, who is also from Michigan. Colorado has been her home for most of her adult life. She retired in 2020 after almost 35 years of working in HR at the state, county and municipal level. After Bill was diagnosed with MS in 2010, and could no longer run, Kaitlyn asked if Sue would run a 5K with her and that’s how she got started running. Sue, Bill and Kaitlyn are involved with an organization called MS Run the US. Sue has summited 14 of the Colorado 14ers and hopes to complete her 120th race this year. Sue is a force and a badass. Kaitlyn Yonke (she/her) is a partner, an athlete, a trail and ultrarunner, a run coach, artist and an adventurer. She is a para athlete guide, and an advocate for inclusion, accessibility and a cure for MS. Kaitlyn went to school at CSU for Music and is a Music Therapist at Continuum of Colorado, Inc. for adults and kids with developmental disabilities. She loves the 100 mile running distance and has completed Leadville, High Lonesome and White Rim Road in Canyonlands and holds a few FKTs. She runs for Runner’s Roost and Speedland and is Head Coach for Run Infinite. Kaitlyn supports people as a friend, a pacer, crew member, encourager and presence. She is showing up  for a cure for MS in a consistent and powerful way. Bill Morgan (he/him) is a loving husband, dad, grandpa, mischief maker, and friend. He is an MS warrior, cheerleader extraordinaire, avid reader and para-athlete. He grew up in Detroit Michigan and his love of bicycles started at a young age. Bill started racing bicycles in high school and continued in college. He also rode one of the bike centennial routes in 1978 which was 3000 miles across the country. Bill graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Computer Science and then moved to Colorado to be a ski bum and luckily met Sue shortly after moving, got a job and then they married. He spent 30 years developing software for business and sales and retired soon after he was diagnosed with MS. After he was diagnosed and could no longer run, Kaitlyn kept looking for ways to keep him active. While he could still ride his bicycle, Bill, his son, Nick, Kaitlyn rode the MS 150 for several years. He is interested in anything and everything to keep physically active, to keep his body moving. Eventually, Kaitlyn found the MS Run the US Relay and they were all launched on a new path. Bill doesn’t give up. He is a go-er and a fighter and keeps showing up for himself and his family.
