A keen observer of the Zeitgeist

I have to start with a disclaimer, which is that I've never finished any of Alan's books. I've attempted three, and I'm not sure why. I think he's a really good writer, but somehow I get, well, maybe a little bored. I don't know. Again, it could be my problem, not his. But I think Alan is always in touch with the cultural zeitgeist, so I definitely want to know what he's thinking and reading and writing about, so that's why I follow him. And I think you should, too.
