Stellantis said Thursday it was temporarily laying off 900 workers, including employees at its Kokomo facilities, due to President Trump’s new auto tariffs. Indiana’s most senior member of Congress on Friday said President Donald Trump’s new tariffs especially threaten low-income families and farmers. Gov. Mike Braun said he doesn’t think the tariffs mean guaranteed higher prices. A U.S. senator from Indiana had a message for a former Health and Human Services employee, among up to 10,000 to be fired or laid off.
