Alyssa Joseph is ready to express her big, loud feelings. Originally from South Jersey and now living in Nashville, she is making her mark as a woman in the indie rock scene. Inspired by artists like Sharon van Etten and Angie McMahon, Joseph’s music is refreshingly honest, deeply relatable, and introspective. In addition to her personal music project, she is passionate about veganism, gardening, and fostering community through her DIY music space. Her upcoming EP promises to showcase her artistic evolution, and the lead single, “I Wanna Feel Good,” produced by the talented Jared Corder (of repeat, repeat), is a testament to her journey and vibrant spirit. “I Wanna Feel Good” drops May 30th and is a testament for all. The pressure to appear happy and composed, despite internal struggles, is a common experience that transcends gender but is often highlighted in conversations about women’s emotional labor.
