John Adams said that he hoped that every July 4th, Americans would revisit its first principles. Those principles are found in the Declaration of Independence and today we celebrate the 245th anniversary of its signing.  I sat down with author and progressive radio host, Thom Hartmann, to discuss those first principles, how our democracy is being threatened and the steps needed to save it… Let this year’s July 4th celebration be mindful rather than mindless.
