The Police’s Stewart Copeland on Musical Retrospectives

In two new releases, former Police drummer Stewart Copeland revives material from the late 1970s through 1980, a span that included the band’s formation and the beginning of his solo career. His new book, Stewart Copeland’s Police Diaries, features journal entries written between 1976 and 1979 and providing a glimpse into the band’s formative years.
