Paul Hawken explores the connection between nature and commerce, working with leaders and CEOs on ecological regeneration. He has appeared in numerous media outlets and been featured in hundreds of articles, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Newsweek, The Washington Post, Forbes, and BusinessWeek. Hawken is the author of nine books, six of which are national and NYT bestsellers: Growing a Business, The Next Economy, The Ecology of Commerce, Blessed Unrest, Drawdown, and Regeneration. They are translated into 30 languages and sold in over 50 countries. His latest work, Carbon, The Book of Life, was published by Viking/Penguin in March 2025. Hawken has served on the boards of several environmental organizations, such as the Point Foundation, the Center for Plant Conservation, Conservation International, the Trust for Public Land, Friends of the Earth, and the National Audubon Society. He has received six honorary doctorates. Hawken is the founder of Project Drawdown and Project Regeneration, which together compile the most comprehensive list of solutions for restoring climate stability and the biosphere.
