In chapter 4, the three sisters of Ashi, Ohada, and Nuya contemplate their new roles and identities among the Tal and followers of the Kyandara, and in chapter 5, Kalzhat, the leader of the resistance movement, explores the idea of escalating the fight and taking the war directly to the Jolao.
