Raised in Northern Virginia, Connor Daly grew up playing sports and music. He was the Virginia High School (5A) state champion in discus, earning a spot on the track and field team at George Mason University, where he competed throughout college. Alongside his athletic pursuits, he played classical guitar, developing a cascading fingerpicking style that shines through in his songs today. After his first year in college, Daly turned to songwriting more fully, and in 2019 recorded some demos and fell in love with “the process of bringing my own songs to life.” Fast forward to today, and Connor's debut album Colors Fade had the Nashville world buzzing in 2024. Singles like "Ain't Got A Cape” were extremely impactful exploring themes of love, loss, and personal limitations with a depth that resonated deeply with listeners. On this episode we talk about Connor's background, crafting his own unique sound, writing 200 songs in 5 years, his family support and more.
