Send us a text In this episode of the Quivercast, we sit down with former professional surfer Shaun Munro @shaunkmunro, whose surf journey began on the beaches of Australia under the guidance of his father Don—founder of Mango surf apparel. Surrounded by legends like Mark Richards, Baron Lynch, and Tony Moniz, Shaun was immersed in the surf world from a young age. A standout in the Australian amateur ranks as a teenager, Shaun wasn’t just chasing contest wins—he had a vision of seeing himself in surf magazines and hustled with photographers to turn that vision into reality. Shaun went on to travel the world for over a decade, competing at the highest levels of professional surfing. But when chronic back issues sidelined him, Shaun stepped away from the water for many years. That changed when his son Louis caught the surfing bug, reigniting Shaun’s passion and bringing him back to the waves. Tune in to hear a story full of inspiration, legacy, and rediscovered stoke as Shaun reflects on his unique surf journey and the joy of sharing it with the next generation.
