Joing us in studio is Shelby County, Memphis, state Senator Brent Taylor. Fresh off his resolution to establish a joint select committee that will investigate allegations of misconduct within the Shelby County District Attorney's office. The select committee would feature five senators and five representatives and have subpoena power to force the DA that called him "as worthless as gum on bottom of a boot" to do his job and prosecute crime to Make Memphis Matter. The resolution comes six months after Taylor said he was planning to file legislation to have Shelby County DA Steve Mulroy removed from office. The removal, which differs from impeachment, would require a two-thirds vote in the House and a separate two-thirds vote in the Senate and TN Supreme Court. We discuss this and much more about what new FBI director calls Memphis the "murder capital of America" and a homegrown deep state in Nashville.  If you like what you hear please subscribe at www.heartlandjournal.com
