When you decide the life you have will not be better than it is, you're right.  It won't unless you decide to take the action to be more, have more, and do more to help get you closer to that goal.   Getting what you want requires a goal, a plan to do the work, and consistency to do the same thing no matter how boring, tedious, or tiresome it is. Today's guest is a prime example of what can happen when you make things happen.  Lomeli Delgado is the founder and owner of Texas Front Yard BBQ and Catering in San Antonio, Texas.  They've been serving up some of the most tender, fall-off-the-bone turkey legs mixed with Spanish rice, shrimp, elote', and mac and cheese.  That's just the tip of the menu.  Lomeli started his business when he was still in Sales at Budweiser.  In this episode, Lomeli and Patrick reconnect after meeting many years ago in 2019.  Lomeli was one of the very first clients for Trailer King Builders and they have a very candid conversation about life, raising children, the food truck industry, and the impenetrable mindset required to show up as a leader and innovator in the food industry.    What You'll Learn:  Why Lomeli woke up at 3 am when he started his business What inspired him to explore launching his own food truck  How Lomeli used his experience in sales, marketing, and pricing to launch his food truck successfully The logic behind setting prices on your menu Why it's important to start a business with smaller price points The one thing Lomeli did even when he sold nothing during his "Pop-Ups" How Lomeli took Texas Front Yard BBQ from grossing $2K a week to $20K a week in just a few years How and why social media is so important for anyone in business to survive in any economy  Why food and music tie together a better experience for patrons  An interesting take on Red Bull's marketing plan  One secret to having a successful campaign on social media  His 5-day-a-week schedule A few businesses Patrick had and why Breaking Bad was the inspiration for one of them Why Lomeli added seafood to his menu   Favorite Quote:  "People get scared about pushing themselves.  There should be no excuse why people can't do more." -Lomeli Delgado   How to Connect with Lomeli:  TikTok Facebook Instagram Website   How To Get Involved: Patrick Bolanos is a serial entrepreneur, business owner, and CEO of Trailer King Builders in Houston, Texas. He was raised in Nicaragua, exposed to extreme poverty, and also had the fortune of being exposed to life in the United States traveling back and forth to both countries.  After college, Patrick’s career took him into the corporate world of banking where he learned the important lessons of understanding what you’re selling and why it’s important to believe in it.  Back in December of 2017, Patrick was fired from his job as a CFO for a Restaurant Group.  With only $500 to his name, rent due, his wife, 3 children at home, and one on the way, he was forced to figure out how to pull his family out of this financial abyss that was strangling his life.
