Shanille Bowens-Harris is the owner for Naturally Nurtured Birth Services, which was founded in 2018. Naturally Nurtured Birth Services is a Memphis-based collective that provides affordable emotional and evidence-based support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The collective also offers a variety of other services, including placenta encapsulation, lactation and breastfeeding counseling, birth prep classes, infant CPR, mindful and meditation class and yoga classes for parents. As of January 2024, the owner has recently purchased a new building to house Memphis' First Doula Collective Support Center! The doula collective support center will serve as a haven for doulas, fostering a collaborative environment where they can share expertise, provide mentorship, and pool resources to enhance their collective impact.
