Join the conversation, text us now. Hello Happy People, D.G. McCool Jr. (Del) is a self-professed lifelong fan of science fiction and fantasy. He has been a devoted enthusiast of more than just the usual main stream authors of the genre but also branched out into role playing games as well. In his youth, Del took comfort in creating his own worlds in short stories. Eventually these early works would become the groundwork for his first novel, but it would be years before the dream of becoming an author would come to pass. Del’s career path began with 10 years of service in the US Army. After leaving that service, Del went down another avenue where he could protect and serve his community with 14 years in law enforcement. It wasn’t until Del moved into the corporate world that he was able to take time to start writing as a sideline to his day job. In 2021, Del finally published his first book. ​Del was able to publish a few more books over the next few years but it wasn’t until her retired in 2024 that he was able to finally devote full time to his writing career.
