RSV Risk Reduction- Robert Hopkins MD, National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID)
RSV is a common infectious respiratory virus that is easily transmittable. Those infected have cold-like symptoms. The good news is an RSV vaccine can help reduce the risk of contracting the virus. This is important for older Americans over the age of 60 who may have a higher risk for contracting RSV, especially those living with chronic health conditions, says Robert H. Hopkins MD, medical director of the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID). He explains vaccine guidelines.
