The Padres got 3 consecutive hits to start the game- and didn’t score- before Dylan Cease walked the bases loaded in the bottom of the 1st, and the Dodgers made him pay. scoring 3 runs (and 2 more in the bottom of the 2nd) in a 6-0 win that puts them back into sole possession of 1st place in the National League West.   Cease, who had put together back-to-back outstanding starts coming into tonight, walked 6 hitters in 3 1/3, and gave up just 2 hits.
