On A Quick Note: The Justice Paradox, Asking Power to Follow Its Own Rules

Journalists just asked Pam Bondi of The Justice Dept whether she intends to follow the law. Imagine that— the nation pausing to wonder whether the Attorney General, the very steward of justice, the keeper of statutes and truth, will honor the rules she’s sworn to defend. It’s almost poetic… if it weren’t so painfully absurd. Well, the pragmatist would say, the law is not a shackle. So they may follow it loosely.
