Eric Dym started his career of service as a US Marine and finished it by retiring as a NPYD Lieutenant. He was part of a now defunct unit known as Anit-Crime.  These guys were the real deal, taking some of New York City's worst off the street. As we watch NYC descend into madness you can't help but wonder why they would take away such an impactful unit.
