My guest today is Robert Waldinger, a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, and Zen priest. He is a clinical professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, director of the Center for Psychodynamic Therapy and Research at Massachusetts General Hospital, and director of the Harvard Study of Adult Development. He is the author of numerous scientific papers as well as two books. He is a practicing psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, and teaches Harvard medical students and psychiatry residents. He is also a Senior Dharma Teacher in Boundless Way Zen. The topic is his book The Good Life: Lessons from the World's Longest Scientific Study of Happiness.
