Today we’re getting Under the hood with Dr. Nicole Christian-Brathwaite, MD a mother, daughter, sister, women’s advocate and a double Board-Certified Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, nationally recognized for her expertise in perinatal and post-partum mental health, trauma-informed care, telepsychiatry, mental health in communities of color, school psychiatry, and racism in healthcare. Dr. Christian-Brathwaite completed her adult and child psychiatric training at Massachusetts General and Mclean Hospital, where she led the Organization of Minority Residents and Fellows and conducted extensive behavioral health research in West Africa. She is currently the Medical Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Monte Nido Walden Eating Disorder Hospital and she is the CEO and Founder of Well Minds Psychiatry and Consulting Company.
