MEMORIES FROM THE FIELD with Pete Clegett | Setter Tales Podcast

As a youth growing up in Mound City, Missouri, Pete Clegett took advantage of the abundance of water fowl hunting opportunities and became a regular in many of the goose pits. An early fascination with duck and goose calling led Pete to learn from veteran callers and develop a style of his own. His ability at deceiving ducks became legendary and sent him into calling competition. At the age of 17 Pete won the Missouri State Calling Championship. Pete continued to compete in contests and won numerous awards. Pete’s love of the outdoors also included being a professional guide and hunting camp owner in Canada for 15 years.
