One Jesus Sermon Title ~ Mark: Identity and Action Scripture ~ Mark 8:27-30 Mark is generally understood to be the earliest of the four Gospel accounts, and it likely served as a sort of “rough draft” or even starting point for Mathew and Luke. Mark focuses in on Jesus in action, presenting a portrait of one who is always on the move. Threaded throughout the book is the question of Jesus’ true identity.
