Locked On Red Sox POSTCAST- Crawford allows 2 Home Runs & Red Sox Drop Finale

The Red Sox never led at any point and dropped a 5-2 decision to the New York Yankees in the Series Finale at Yankee Stadium on Sunday afternoon.  The Red Sox had the tying run at the plate with one out in the 9th Inning but could not score.  Jarren Duran hit into his 2nd Double Play of the game to end it.  The Sox lost 3 of 4 in the Series and are at .500 with 12 games to go over the next 2 weeks of the regular season.            ----- Kutter's Day on the Hill: Kutter Crawford 31st start of the season in the finale against the Yankees on Sunday.  Crawford gave up a run in the 2nd Inning with Giancarlo Stanton knocking in a run with a Double.  The Yankees went in front 4-0 against Crawford and the Red Sox 3rd on a solo Home Run from Gleyber Torres and a 2-run Home Run from Aaron Judge.  It was the 2nd Home Run of the season for Judge, his 5th this season against the Red Sox and his 53rd on the season. Crawford retired the 1st hitter he faced in the 5th and then was removed from the game after he issued a 1-out walk to Juan Soto.  Crawford left with the Red Sox trailing, 4-2.  The Red Sox have scored 4 total runs with him on the mound over his last 6 outings (12 Runs Total in his last 6 Outings).   #50's Final Line- 4.1 IP. 6 H. 4 R. 4 ER. 2 BB. 7 K. 2 HR Allowed.   ----- On the Board w/ HR:  Tyler O'Neill got the Red Sox on the board with a 2-run Home Run against Carlos Rodon in the Top of the 4th Inning and that made it 4-2.  It was O'Neill's 6th Home Run in the last 9 Games.  O'Neill struck out against Rodon and left 2 runners stranded in the 5th Inning.   ----- Nothing in the Clutch: The Red Sox went 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position and left 8 Runners on base.  Connor Wong led off the 6th Inning with a Double, but Carlos Rodon and Ian Hamilton combined to retire the next 3 hitters.  Ceddanne Rafaela led off the 7th Inning with a single and he was erased when Jarren Duran hit into a Double Play.  Wong reached with a 2-out Double in the 8th Inning and he was left stranded.       ----- At The Dish: Connor Wong collected 3 hits, including 2 Doubles in the loss.  Trevor Story went 0-for-3 with 3 strikeouts & Hit By Pitch.   ----- A Look Ahead: The Red Sox have an off day on Monday and open up a 3-Game Series against the Rays in St. Pete, Florida Tuesday night.     It'll be the 1st Series between the 2 clubs since May.  The Red Sox are 4-3 this season against the Rays and swept a 3-Game Series at Tropicana Field in May.
