133: How to Understand Trump, AI, War and Oligarchy. Chris Hedges with Eurydice Eve

They deserved this loss and they deserve the retributions that may come by the Trump administration.  The Silicon Valley social contract forced on the public by Obama, then Trump, then Biden and now Trump again is simple: We will let them become the richest people in human history and in exchange they will develop a tech industry that makes the U.S. dominant for a century. They did, built monopolies to keep out all competition rather than continue to innovate at a top level, got out-competed by Chinese companies in both AI and social media, and continue to be subsidized by US governments.
