Lia’s experiences with religious trauma occurred while she attended Calvary Chapel in the USA.  In her continued efforts to help unwind the effects of trauma, she has created a short film called “I Am Fine,” inspired by the suicide of a queer friend who was shamed by Christian beliefs. By sharing her story, Lia hopes to shed light on practices that have wounded many and been hidden for too long.  In this episode, Lia provides some background information on Calvary Chapel, as well as sharing her own experiences and the motivation behind her film.
