Our host Dan Bova has been lucky enough to interview Ken Burns several times over the past few years. Burns, as you know, is quite the filmmaker, whose documentaries like “The Civil War,” “Baseball,” and “The Vietnam War” have earned him five Emmys and two Oscar nominations. He just premiered his latest work, the four-hour film “Leonardo da Vinci” — which he co-directed with his daughter, Sarah Burns and her husband, David McMahon — about the extraordinary life and work of the artist. So we thought this would be a good time to dig into an interview Dan did with Ken while he was promoting the Vietnam War documentary. Ken had so many incredible things to say about his process, the art of storytelling, and the state of entrepreneurship in America that we didn’t have room for in the Entrepreneur magazine interview, so we went back to the tape and pulled out some incredible highlights from the cutting room floor for you to check out.
