Julie Hyde - Coach, Author & Speaker

Julie is such a lovely, knowledgeable and inspirational woman. You will love her story! Growing up in suburban Melbourne with one sister, she says her childhood was pretty standard. She didn't enjoy school though (other than sport!) and so when she left year 12 she wasn't interested in Uni, so her Dad suggested the bank. After starting out with NAB as a Teller, she rose through the ranks for the next 21 years, only calling it a day in her late 30s. By that stage, she was looking to do something different, still in leadership. so she started her own business. After joining BNI (an international networking group), she found the structure and the networks really useful for the first 5 years as she found her feet as a business owner. Then she started her own women's business group, and moved more into consulting. She even wrote a book called "Busy', about the culture of keeping yourself busy as a bit of a 'badge of honour'. She got a nasty shock with a cancer diagnosis in the early days of the Pandemic, which shifted her perspective with a lot of things, unsurprisingly. Julie is passionate about ledership, and helping people realise that they are the masters (or mistresses) of their own destiny, and they can lead a life that they want if they follow their own path.
