Jacqueline Woodson Celebrates Her Bushwick Upbringing

National Book award winning author Jacqueline Woodson has written a new children's middle grade book (ages 10 and up), inspired by her childhood spent in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Remember Us tells the story of a soon-to-be seventh grader Sage, a basketball-obsessed girl who is living in the midst of a crisis of houses being burned around her neighborhood.
