Is Zionism Biblical? Rabbi Michael Freund Talks About the Lost Tribes of Israel Returning to Zion

In this interview, Jeff talks to Michael Freund about Zionism and its biblical roots. They discuss the connection Jews have, and always have had, with the Land of Israel; and they discuss the prophetic  importance that all of the tribes of Israel return to the Land God promised them in the Bible. Rabbi Michael Freund graduated from Princeton University and got his MBA from Columbia. He lived in Israel for 25 years, where he served as Deputy Communications Director under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and went on to found Shavei Israel, a nonprofit that has brought more than 10,000 Jews from far-flung places on Aliya to Israel, including descendants of the Lost Tribes. He has been a syndicated columnist for the Jerusalem Post for two decades and authored two books. Freund has five grown sons, 4 of whom are reservists in elite IDF combat units and fought in Gaza and Lebanon over the past year. He is a loyal New York Mets fan.
