After his release, Louie continued in the Marine Reserves for another sixteen years where he was a jet engine mechanic on both “E” and “N” model Huey helicopters. After active duty, the automotive world seemed to be calling his name. So in 1980 Louie became a full time apprentice body man with Scott’s Auto Body in Arlington Heights, Illinois. At the same time he took the first step toward owning his own shop. In 1981 Sharp Auto Body opened its doors, and the dream was a reality. By the late ‘80s Louie was ready for another challenge and opened his towing business where he continues to offer 24 hour towing service.
