Many thanks to Bradley B. Block, MD, for speaking with me today on “The Art of Medicine with Dr. Andrew Wilner.” Dr. Block is an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist in Garden City, New York.    Recently, Brad was kind enough to interview me on his podcast, “Physician’s Guide to Doctoring.” We talked about one of my favorite topics, locum tenens and my book, “The Locum Life: A Physician’s Guide to Locum Tenens.”   Today, Dr. Block shares his tips for avoiding burnout in private practice.    For example, Dr. Block greets patients and the people they bring with them, looking long and hard enough “to notice their eye color.” I was impressed to learn that his medical group has a “patient experience” committee, which demonstrates their commitment to improving the patient/doctor experience. Further, his group is owned and run by physicians who easily understand and prioritize their colleagues’ values.   Please tune in to our 30-minute discussion to learn more ways to run a compassionate and efficient private practice.   As a bonus, we also chat about my ENT experience and the cool reassuring diagnosis I got of “presbylarnyx”-oh no!   You can learn more about Dr. Block here:  https://www.entandallergy.com/doctor/bradley-block-md   Here’s a link to his podcast: Physician’s Guide to Doctoring Thanks for joining us!
