Hope for the Holidays - Carolyn 12.12.24. LISTEN HERE!
Dear Johnny, I am not one to really ever ask for help or assistance, but this year has been different. Things were going well, and my husband and I are both working. Then a week before Thanksgiving, my mother in law suddenly passed away of a heart attack the night before she was scheduled to be released to come home from her nursing/rehab facility. We are still in shock, can't wrap our head around it. Needless to say, my husband and I are now taking care of my father in law and my husband’s uncle. In 2012, my father in law was injured in a 4-wheeler accident and a tractor weight landed on the side of his head. Mentally and physically it has been a real struggle for him and he needs our care. Both of them are living with us as this time. We both work construction, but with time off for the funeral and getting our house in order we’ve fallen a little bit behind. I'm not one to ask for help, but when it comes to family, you do whatever you can. Thank you for reading my letter and Merry Christmas to you guys.
