He has produced print articles for an array of publications, many video reports, and several documentaries, including Killing Gaza. Blumenthal founded The Grayzone in 2015 to shine a journalistic light on America's state of perpetual war and its dangerous domestic repercussions. In 2020, Blumenthal published a controversial article titled ‘Green’ billionaires behind professional activist network that led suppression of ‘Planet of the Humans’ documentary. The article exposes the coordinated suppression campaign that was used to censor ‘Planet of the Humans’, a documentary which criticized current renewable energy sources and highlighted the ties that a number of notable environmental justice activists have to corporate interests.
