Scarlett Lewis' six-year-old son, Jesse, was killed at his elementary school in Sandy Hook, CT on December 14, 2012, by a 20-year-old gunman- one of the worst mass school shootings in U.S. history. Three words Jesse wrote on the refrigerator that morning, Nurturing, Healing, Love, inspired Scarlett to establish the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement, which offers free social and emotional learning (SEL) to schools to help people thoughtfully respond to any situation, circumstance, or interaction.
