Learning that tropical glaciers are the first ones to disappear led Marcela to become the Founder of Cumbres Blancas, an NGO that gives visibility to glaciers melting acceleratedly. This is done through expeditions, documentaries, and books inspired by conservation. Her initiative is planting Frailejones and endemic species from the Páramos, a fragile ecosystem that needs restoration. Marcela is also a manager of content creators and DJs, helping them influence the world to become a better place.
