This week I sit down with the lovely Gianna Paniagua as we talk about the art world, health and the troubles all in between. Gianna is an artist foremost focused on tactile and illustrative work and through her varied career has had a focus on mindful practice, chronic illness and medicine in general. As a heart transplant survivor she has explore her own experiences with her own health her history and built a career in brilliantly bashful approaches to engaging galleries, artists and topics. Creating installations, comics looking at graphic medicine and talking on a multitude of topics. We sit down to talk the challenges of being an artist in how to engage with that world which can be a monolith of information at times. How those hidden doors work and how often when art comes easy networking is the largest challenge.
