Today on the podcast I am going to be joined by Eli McGuire of Dublin based rock band, Listowel! Myself and Eli are going to be chatting about how this band began, the band's that informed Listowell's sound but primarily we'll be chatting about the band's excellent debut single 'Paychecks'. An absolute rager of a tune, Eli explains that 'Paychecks about not letting money or your job define you, and that no matter how scary the world seems right now, people have the power to change the world they live in if they’re bold enough to do something about it.’ ‘Paychecks’ was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Joe ‘Janksy’ McGuirk in Sonic Studios, Dublin and will be released on September 25th, this Thursday. The band will also be playing tonight as part of the Gig for Gaza at The Grand Social, with all proceeds from the show going towards the Palestinian Red Crescent.
