My guest today is Dublin-based soul artist Danny Groenland! I'm going to be chatting to Danny about his new album, 'Burning Rome', which was released on the 25th of April. This is a concept album focussing on issues like climate change, the environment, war, inequality, homelessness and police brutality. These songs are inspired by the classic soul singers such as Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Expect music for the mind and for the feet, brought to life by a superb band of top funk and jazz players including backing vocals and a horn section. One of the single's off the album, 'Never Going Home', has a beautiful accompanying animated music video which was created by Marc Corrigan, which we also be talking about in detail. The album is available now on bandcamp to stream and purchase digitally and on Vinyl.
