Today I am joined on the podcast by Liam and Peter of the band Apple of Basilisk! Apple of Basilisk is a Toronto-based metal band, formed in 2024. After taking their time tightening up last year, including recording their debut 5 song EP, 'His Crowned Skull Raised to the Sun' which will be released on April 4th, they are now ready to unleash their grinding, blackened death-doom maelstrom on the world. Fans of Cult Leader, Deafheaven, Napalm Death, and Mare will be pleased. I'll be chatting with Liam and Peter about the EP, covering all the songs in the 5 track EP, recording with the renowned Davis Maxwell at School House Studios, the ideas and inspiration behind the music and what the band has planned for the future. The EP really is fantastic, anybody who likes their music on the more extreme side of things should check it out on April 4th and I cannot wait to see what people's reactions to it are when it's released.
